Five Chinese nationals have been wounded in an assault on a resort in central Kabul on Monday, Chinese international ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin stated on Tuesday.

The assault, claimed by Islamic State, prompted China to lodge representations with Afghanistan’s Taliban-run administration, Wang added.
