ANANTAPUR: Two multi-purpose well being employees present process coaching on the Regional Medical and Health Training Centre in Kurnool tried to commit suicide a few days in the past because of alleged harassment by their lodge warden. Their fellow trainees prevented them from doing so. The difficulty got here to mild on Wednesday.

There are about 30 well being employees from Rayalaseema present process coaching on the regional well being centre. They have been accommodated on the centre’ hostel. The trainees have been complaining that their warden Vijaya Susheela has been harassing them.

They allege they’re being focused for sporting a bindi (bottu) or sporting mehendi. The warden additionally forces them to work at her residence. All the trainees had met Regional Medical and Health Training Centre principal Lakshmi Narasaiah on Monday and complained towards the warden.

It is alleged Vijaya Susheela then focused the trainees for lodging a criticism towards her and threatened to dismiss them. Following this, two trainees tried suicide on Monday and one other on Tuesday.

This has resulted in authorities asserting holidays for the centre. Principal Lakshmi Narasaiah has directed the warden to vacate her quarters. He mentioned one other employees member can be deputed in her place.
