Samsung India is set to refresh its mid-range portfolio with the launch of the Galaxy M31s before the end of this month. The Samsung Galaxy M31s would be unveiled in India in July before it goes on sale in August, the media has reported. The device would be a follow up to the Samsung Galaxy M31 which was launched in February this year.
The Samsung Galaxy M31s would go on sale in August via Amazon.in and Samsung’s other retail channels. The upcoming device is said to be priced around Rs 20,000, according to a report in IANS. However, Samsung has not officially shared any information about the upcoming Galaxy M31s. The upcoming mid-range phone has been spotted on multiple certification websites so far and it has been said to carry the model number SM-M317F, according to sites such as TUV Rheinland, Geekbench, and Safety Korea.
According to the Geekbench listing, the handset would be powered by the company’s own octa-core Exynos 9611 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. According to the TUV Rheinland listing, the device would feature a hefty 6,000mAh battery which was later confirmed by Safety Korea as well. As far as internal storage is concerned, the device may feature 128GB onboard storage, a quad rear camera set-up including a 64-megapixel primary lens, and an AMOLED Infinity O display with a hole-punch cutout for the selfie shooter.
Samsung India has unveiled eight smartphones in the Galaxy M portfolio. The Galaxy M30s performed particularly well for the South Korean smartphone maker and helped it regain share in the offline market.
