Feb. 25 (UPI) — Ukrainian officers have put in shock-proof covers over a number of Banksy murals in Kyiv, the area’s navy administration introduced.

Workers put in clear polycarbonate sheets over the murals on Wednesday to guard them from “vandals and adverse weather conditions” within the area, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration introduced in a news release.

Banksy, the notorious British road artist who has remained nameless for many years, unveiled new work stenciled on the edges of shelling-damaged buildings in Ukraine in November amid Russia’s battle with the nation.

Later that month, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration held a public meeting to debate tips on how to defend the most recent graffiti within the settlements of Bucha, Borodyanka, Irpin and Gorenka close to Kyiv.
