Indian and the United States of America are planning to hold their second strategic energy meet virtually. Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will co-chair the energy meet and the US Secretary of Energy will chair the event.

The meet was announced in 2018 by PM Narendra as part of the redefined US-India relations. The meeting will take place through video conferencing this year. The event is a milestone is the exchange of energy and ideas.

India is working towards reducing the dependency on Iranian oil and work on American oil. The American help in the technological advancement of the country which will in turn aid in the development of the country.
