If you witness four bright stars tonight in the sky then most probably your will be looking at Mars, Venus Jupiter and Saturn.
New Delhi | Jagran Trending Desk: The year 2020 has been full of excitement for the sky gazers so far. Three eclipses, including two lunar and one solar eclipse, had already occurred in this year.
Now in another treat for the sky gazers, four planets will be visible in the sky in Telangana’s capital city Hyderabad on July 18 (tonight). If you witness four bright stars tonight in the sky then most probably your will be looking at Mars, Venus Jupiter and Saturn.
According to a report by Times of India, experts said that the celestial objects will be clearly visible in the night sky tonight in the eastern direction. Scientists at Birla Science Planetarium say that the sky gazers will be able to clearly see Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn as the skies are clear this week due to the very less cloud cover over Telangana’s Hyderabad.
“There will be good visibility of the planets since there is very less cloud cover. Usually during the monsoon, after fresh spells of rain, the sky is clear and most favourable for stargazing,” said Director of BM Birla Science Centre BG Sidharth as quoted by Times of India.
“As there are traffic restrictions at night due to the current situation, light pollution is also less, making it a good time to witness these celestial objects with the eye,” he added.
Earlier on July 14, the skywatchers witnessed a rare and majestic comet, the comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3), a rare Comet sighting that will be next seen 6800 years.
According to American space exploration agency NASA, the comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE contains intergalactic particles that have been assimilated by the Comet’s 4 billion years of travel in our Universe.
The peculiar celestial object will next be visible only after 6800 years, making it an extremely rare celestial event which was being awaited for a while in the space science enthusiasts across the world.
