Hyderabad, Mar 27 (PTI) Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL), a city-based vaccine maker on Monday introduced receipt of approval from Drugs Controller General of India and State Drug Control Administration for manufacturing of Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccine.

A press launch from IIL mentioned, “IIL’s Indo-Vietnam Partnership resulted in manufacturing and marketing authorisation of their Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccine. IIL partnered with Center for Research and Production of Vaccines and Biologicals, also called Polyvac, Vietnam”.

Under an unique settlement, Polyvac, Vietnam will provide the Measles vaccine part to IIL. Rubella Vaccine part shall be produced by IIL to fabricate a mixed MR vaccine, it mentioned.

This Live Attenuated MR vaccine provides to the record of a number of different vaccines that IIL provides to Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) of India, the discharge mentioned.

This vaccine has been confirmed by means of in depth human scientific trials to be immunogenic and protected for individuals of 9 months to 49 years, it mentioned.

Ok Anand Kumar, Managing Director, Indian Immunologicals Limited mentioned, “We have successfully completed all phases of product development to the satisfaction of the regulatory authorities in India.
