2 Army troopers killed in Rajouri encounter; web snapped | Latest News India

Two Army troopers had been killed, and 4 others together with an officer have been injured after terrorists triggered an explosive machine throughout an encounter that broke out with the safety forces on Friday morning within the Kandi space of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. According to military officers, terrorists belong to the identical group that ambushed an army truck on April 20 through which at the least 5 troopers had been killed and yet one more was injured.

“On specific information about the presence of terrorists in the Kandi forest in the Rajouri sector, a joint operation was launched. A search team established contact with a group of terrorists well entrenched in a cave. The area is thickly vegetated with rocky and steep cliffs,” the Indian military stated in an announcement.

The injured personnel have been taken to the Command hospital in Udhampur and extra groups from the neighborhood have been directed to the positioning of the encounter, the military officers stated.

As per preliminary studies, a gaggle of terrorists are trapped within the space. “There is a likelihood of casualties in the terrorists’ group,” the assertion stated.

Meanwhile, cellular web companies have been suspended in Rajouri district, reported PTI citing officers.

On Thursday, suspected terrorists opened fire upon security forces within the Bijbhera space of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district throughout which one police personnel sustained minor accidents. “Suspected militants on Thursday evening fired upon security forces at the Bijbhera area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. In this incident, one cop received minor injuries. He has been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers,” the Jammu and Kashmir police stated.
