KINGSTON, N.Y. – Pre-fireworks leisure will return to town’s Fourth of July celebration this 12 months.

Mayor Steve Noble mentioned that there will likely be pre-fireworks leisure with The Bill’s Toupee Band, a pop/dance cowl band, enjoying on town stage in T.R. Gallo Park earlier than the fireworks show.

Sponsored by O’Connor & Partners and Ole Savannah, the fireworks will likely be set off from a barge within the Rondout Creek simply after darkish at about 9 p.m. and will likely be seen from T.R. Gallo Park. The band is being sponsored by Mainetti & Mainetti legislation agency.

“I encourage everyone to support our waterfront businesses and make your way downtown early to enjoy our fantastic restaurants and shop our wonderful local businesses,” Noble mentioned in an announcement. “I also want to remind everyone that parking will be extremely limited, so please walk, bike, carpool, or take the shuttle, if possible.”

The Ulster County Area Transit will run a free shuttle service, making common pick-ups from the Kingston Plaza (adjoining to the ballfield off of Westbrook Lane), from the Cornell Street car parking zone (Thomas Street lot close to Little Italy), and alongside Broadway on the Governor Clinton, the Andy Murphy Center, and Yosman Towers, dropping off at Garraghan Drive. In 2022, town’s Fourth of July celebration didn’t function pre-fireworks leisure. Noble mentioned on the time that it was not an acceptable time to ask companies to sponsor it. During the coronavirus pandemic in 2021 and 2020, town canceled the Fourth of July occasion.
