Police arrested three individuals within the metropolis for utilizing faux Rs 500 notes, which they procured from a Bihar-based man at a 75% low cost.

The suspects — Saravana, 25, from Tamil Nadu; and Nitin, 24, and Thevan, 25, from Kerala, have been caught by the Cottonpet police on June 28 whereas they have been making an attempt to promote the faux notes at Majestic’s skywalk.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed that Saravana contacted the person from Patna who sells faux foreign money. Saravana bought counterfeit notes price Rs 1 lakh by transferring Rs 25,000 to the vendor, and distributed it among the many three suspects. They then used the faux notes at crowded locations just like the Majestic bus stand, KR Market, and KSR Bengaluru railway station.

Police confiscated 1,307 counterfeit Rs 500 notes with a complete face worth of Rs 6.53 lakh. The suspects revealed that that they had purchased as much as Rs 10 lakh in faux foreign money from the Bihar-based man and performed transactions price round Rs 4 lakh in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
