A distinguished temple within the city of Surrey in British Columbia was vandalised on Saturday with anti-India and pro-Khalistan posters pasted on its entrance gate and rear wall.

The posters, which have been later eliminated, have been pasted within the early hours of Saturday on the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir.

The president of the temple Satish Kumar stated he was “shocked” on the desecration of the temple. “We never expected something like this,” he added. This temple had figured within the itinerary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he visited Canada within the spring of 2015.
