SAMBA, Aug 26: Different sporting occasions in Basketball, Tug of War and Pencak Silat in addition to essay writing competitors on significance of sports activities and video games had been held by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council right here at the moment at village Birpur underneath nationwide sports activities week programme supervised of Mohammed Hanif, Chief Sports Officer J&Okay Sports Council.
The competitions had been declared open at the moment for girls and boys by the Principal, Government Higher Secondary School Birpur, Anju Devi in presence of Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, Ashok Singh who presided over the perform as visitor of honour being former pupil of this college.
Around 500 girls and boys drawn from Government and personal establishments of the realm participated within the mega occasion with enthusiasm and showcased their expertise. The highlight of the day was solo occasion demonstration in Pencak Silat by Er. Varun Singh Jamwal, National Medallist on the closing ceremony.
