CHICAGO — The sliding Chicago Cubs positioned infielder Nick Madrigal on the 10-day injured checklist retroactive to Sept. 17 with a proper hamstring pressure, and recalled infielder Jared Young from Triple-A Iowa earlier than Tuesday evening’s recreation towards the Pittsburgh Pirates.
