Bhubaneswar: The One Health programme proposed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) might be applied in Odisha quickly, an official stated on Friday.
The thought of One Health, which entails public well being, veterinary and environmental sectors, is to comprise zoonotic illnesses which unfold from animals to people like anthrax, nipah and scrub typhus by means of coordinated actions, stated public well being director Niranjan Mishra.
Under the programme, state-level and district-level motion plans might be ready and a coordination committee might be fashioned to implement it, he stated.
To obtain the goals of the programme, coordination amongst varied sectors like well being, agriculture, veterinary, and wildlife is required, the director stated.
