On Sept. 7, 2023, throughout its 54th shut flyby of Jupiter, NASA’s Juno mission captured this view of an space within the large planet’s far northern areas known as Jet N7. The picture reveals turbulent clouds and storms alongside Jupiter’s terminator, the dividing line between the day and night time sides of the planet. The low angle of daylight highlights the advanced topography of options on this area, which scientists have studied to higher perceive the processes enjoying out in Jupiter’s ambiance.
