Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesman of the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, informed our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic that there seem like casualties.

“The medical teams are still inspecting the area to find out if there were dead or wounded [victims],” al-Qudra mentioned.

“Israel is now undertaking these dangerous steps against the hospitals to put them completely out of commission and subsequently displace the people sheltering in them, as well as the patients and medics.”

Thousands of displaced Palestinians are sheltering in the al-Shifa medical advanced.

In current weeks, the Israeli navy has repeatedly ordered the hospital – the biggest within the Gaza Strip – to evacuate, drawing condemnation from rights teams who say medical services have to be protected.
