Former first girl Rosalynn Carter is in hospice care at house in Plains, Georgia, the Carter Center introduced Friday.
The heart stated the 96-year-old is at house with former President Jimmy Carter, now 99. The Carter household stated by the assertion that they’re “grateful for the outpouring of love and support.”
The household introduced earlier this 12 months that the previous first girl is affected by dementia. The former president entered hospice care at house in February.
They have been married for greater than 77 years, by his rise from their Georgia farm to his election to the presidency in 1976. After his 1980 defeat, the couple established The Carter Center in Atlanta as a world heart to advocate human rights, democracy and public well being.
