Hapag-Lloyd Technology Centre (HLTC) is being launched in Chennai the place a staff of 180 IT professionals will develop revolutionary software program options for the maritime business.

The HLTC will be led by a four-person management team including Balamurugan Palanivelu (CEO) and Venkatesh Balaji Ramamoorthy (CTO) from Solverminds and Vaishali Shetty (CHRO) and Sameer Saxena (CFO) from Hapag-Lloyd.
“Chennai has always been an important business hub, and, in recent years, it has become a major centre for software solutions,” says Palanivelu. “All these factors – port, business, software – offer us the perfect environment for our technology centre and for developing smart software solutions. We look forward to intensely interacting with Hapag-Lloyd’s global IT teams.”
Chennai will develop into the third Hapag-Lloyd IT Technology Centre alongside Gdansk (Poland) and Hamburg (Germany). Hapag-Lloyd employs greater than 3,000 folks in India throughout its gross sales workplace, and high quality service, world functionality and expertise centres.
