The awards, organised by Charnwood Borough Council’s Sport and Recreation staff, Active Charnwood, acquired over 100 nominations this yr.

The awards ceremony takes place on Monday December 4 at Burleigh Court in Loughborough.

Cllr Liz Blackshaw, the Council’s lead member for communities, mentioned: “We had been happy to see so many entries this yr and it was actually powerful to decide on our finalists.

“The awards are about showcasing the incredible sporting expertise we’ve within the borough. It’s equally vital to have fun these behind the scenes equivalent to coaches and volunteers who dedicate their time.

This yr’s awards are kindly being supported by Efficiency East Midlands (EEM), Active Together, Serco, Fusion Lifestyle, Loughborough College, Loughborough University, South Charnwood Schools Sport Partnership Network and idverde.
