GERMANY: Fans and motors producer EBM-Papst is investing €1m in increasing its services in Singapore and India.

According to the corporate, the unique headquarters of the Southeast Asia area will assume larger significance throughout the EBM-Papst Group and handle your complete Asia-Pacific and Middle East Asia area.

Part of its “decoupling China” technique, EBM-Papst says the transfer will strengthen its international presence in the remainder of Asia and growing the resilience of its provide chains. In China, the corporate and its almost 2,000 staff are focusing much more strongly on the Chinese market and its native clients.

“True to our local-for-local approach, we will produce in China for China. This strategy makes us more independent of potential economic policy tensions, trade restrictions, and fluctuating exchange rates. Our new ONE Shanghai building will continue to function as an important Chinese headquarters,” he added.

EBM-Papst has been represented in Singapore and India since 1996. In Singapore, the corporate at the moment employs round 38 folks. Another 31 staff work within the Southeast Asia area, together with Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia. Around 340 persons are employed in India.
