The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) recorded the earthquake within the area with a magnitude of 6.1.
The earthquake, situated 102 km west-southwest of Lanzhou, China, had a depth of 35 km (21.75 miles), as reported by EMSC.
China’s nationwide fee for catastrophe prevention, discount, and aid, together with the ministry of emergency administration, has activated a level-IV catastrophe aid emergency, as reported by Xinhua.
