The actress wrote, “I believe that the simple khichdi is the most effective home remedy for an upset stomach, apart from being my staple comfort food. It provides the body with protein for strength as well as nutrients to help recovery. Easy to digest, it is the ideal meal if you are unwell. This is a tip, probably all of us know but I have to emphasize the benefits of having this. Rice is easy to digest and provides much-needed energy when sick. The chilka moong dal is a protein but with goodness of fibre too. Haldi is an anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial. Salt is needed to help replenish body salts, especially if one has the loosies. Ghee creates a protective layer on the tender stomach lining to reduce the corrosive effect of stomach acids.”

The actress begins the video by saying, “Aaj bada mann kiya.. kuch mirch masale ki chatpati cheez khaye.. lekin jo swadisht hone ke saath saath healthy bhi ho [Today, I had a craving for something spicy, which is healthy as well].” To make this recipe, first you must take soaked chana.
