DALLAS — AT&T says it is going to give affected clients $5 every to compensate for last week’s cellphone network outage that left many with out service for hours.
The Dallas-based firm stated on its web site that clients will get the $5 credit score on their account inside two billing cycles. The credit score doesn’t apply to AT&T Business, pay as you go service or Cricket, its low-cost wi-fi service. AT&T stated pay as you go clients may have choices out there to them in the event that they had been impacted, though it didn’t elaborate on what these choices is likely to be.
The outage knocked out cellphone service for hundreds of its customers throughout the U.S. beginning early Thursday earlier than it was restored. AT&T blamed the incident on an error in coding, with out elaborating, and stated it was not the results of a cyberattack.
