Shares of Zee Entertainment (down 3.18 per cent), PVR (down 3.01 per cent), Inox Leisure (down 1.68 per cent), DB Corp (down 1.3 per cent) and Network 18 Fincap (down 1.21 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Jagran Prakashan (up 1.09 per cent), TV18 Broadcast (up 1.0 per cent), TV Today Network (up 0.81 per cent) and Hathway Cable & Datacom (up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Media index was trading 1.53 per cent down at 1574.2 around 12:17PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 87.35 points at 11399.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 295.96 points at 38516.35.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, BHEL, Vodafone Idea, Zee Ent. and NTPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of BASF India, Indiabulls Ventures (PP), Aarti Drugs, Affle (India) Ltd. and Alkyl Amines hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
