Live Entertainment Returns To Las Colonias Amphitheater

[ad_1]

It’s been a long time coming, but live entertainment is returning to the Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park in Grand Junction.

While some of Grand Junction’s smaller music venues have hosted concerts in recent weeks, the bigger venues have remained on hold until now. Now, the Amphitheater has a number of events scheduled in the coming weeks before the outdoor concert season comes to a close. Of course, the previously scheduled concerts have been postponed until next year, but here is what the line up looks like for the next few weeks.

August 29 – Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra

September 4 – Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts

September 11 – The Yawmpers

September 13 – Pancho Barraza y Perdidos de Sinaloa

September 30 – Yonder Mountain String Band

October 9 – Comedian Brian Regan

We are excited about the return of live music to the Amphitheater, but,  there are some things to know before you go, because it currently is not business as usual. COVID-19 protocols will be in place.

Tickets need to be purchased in advance, at which point you will select which gate you will enter. Gate #1 is at the southeast corner, closest to river park. Gate #2 is at the northeast corner and closest to Riverside Parkway. Entrance 3 is on the northwest side, near Edgewater Brewery.

The amphitheater will be set up in pods, painted on the grass. The reserved section will have 6′ x 6′ pods with four or fewer guests per box. The outer section will have 10′ x 10′ pods containing 10 or fewer people per box. Concert attendees will be escorted to their section.

Here are the new policies that will be in place for these shows.

* Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms
* Wear a mask to enter and walk around the venue
* Stay seated during the event
* Stay with your household/people of similar relationships
* Groups of 10 or fewer are allowed; depending on inventory, your group may be required to split up into groups of four or fewer
* Pre-purchase of tickets
* Patrons must be from approved counties

Food and beverages will be available at each of their shows, and everyone will be free to eat and drink in their spot without a mask.

Typically, the Amphitheater is not restricted by capacity limits, but during the pandemic, there will be limited tickets available for each of these events. While it’s not going to be the Beach Boys or KC & the Sunshine Band, I’m pretty sure these will be high-quality shows and should be a lot of fun. You can click on the artist links above to learn more about the bands.
