After experiencing first-hand the lack of tools for data scientists while building their data intelligence platform SocialCops, founders Prukalpa Sankar and Varun Banka decided to launch their second venture Atlan and went on to raise capital from Sequoia’s Surge accelerator programme earlier this year.

Wow Skin Science | Bootstrap Champ

Wow Skin Science, the homegrown consumer internet brand, has scaled its business massively in the last one year, from Rs 150 crore in revenues in fiscal year 2019 to clocking a run rate of Rs 550 crore in fiscal year 2020. It is also in talks with top private equity firm Everstone Group to raise Rs 340- 410 crore at a Rs 2,000-crore valuation.

Atomberg Technology | Best on Campus

Atomberg, maker of smart fans that utilise 65% less energy than traditional products, raised $10 million from A91 Partners, Whiteboard Capital Fund and Suman Kant Munjal’s family office in September 2019, a month after winning the ET Startup Awards.

Tricog, which provides cloud-based screening and diagnosis of chronic heart disease, raised $10.5 million led by The University of Tokyo Edge Capital, Aflac Ventures, Dream Incubator and TeamFund in March this year. Its platform has been used by over three million patients across 12 countries, it says.
