Nothing about the 2020 high school football preseason was normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the season starting this week, expect that to continue.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association ruled that all regular-season football contracts were voidable and most conferences set up a six-week schedule for their member schools. But those are not set in stone.
Two changes affecting area schools were announced this week. Warren G. Harding will not be playing at Cleveland Heights on Friday night, but instead will play at home Saturday evening against Cleveland Benedictine.
Also, Lowellville has arranged to play its home games at Struthers, and this week’s game against Jackson-Milton was changed from Thursday evening to Saturday night.
