NYSPHSAA to release guidance for fall sports Friday

Last week, the organization said it was still looking into the number of required practices students need before playing games and the number of games allowed during the season.

While Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced all sports can start practicing starting Sept. 21, only low-contact, low-risk sports like soccer, tennis and swimming can compete.

High-contact sports like football and hockey have to wait to play games until further notice.
