There’s a feast of elite sport on BT Sport in September. From Premier League to UFC and MotoGP to rugby union, strap yourselves in for another rollercoaster of emotions.

Here are the events that you simply can’t afford to miss!

Only 48 days after the disrupted 2019/20 season’s dramatic finale, the Premier League returns in September and this campaign we’ll be showing 58 games exclusively live right here on BT Sport!

Add that to our Champions League and Europa League coverage – as well as plenty more – your home of live football has got you covered as the most exciting league in the world returns for yet another season of unparalleled drama.

Liverpool v Leeds is the pick of the games on the opening weekend, while Fulham take on Arsenal in a London derby and Tottenham face Everton. TV picks will be confirmed soon.

The 2020/21 campaign was initially set to start on Saturday 8 August but it was delayed until Saturday 12 September due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new season is now scheduled to finish on Sunday 23 May, 2021 – just 19 days before the rescheduled Euro 2020 tournament kicks off.

All 58 of the matches will be available in stunning ultra-high definition on 4K UHD on TV and via the revolutionary enhanced video player on either BTSport.com or the BT Sport app – with interactive timelines and multi-camera replay functionality.

BT Sport will also continue to offer 360° live streaming and highlights for a selection of Premier League fixtures on the app next season.

September promises to be an epic month for fight fans, with four huge cards culminating with the blockbuster showdown between Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa at UFC 253.

Expect fireworks when two undefeated superstars of the middleweight division finally face off inside the Octagon on Saturday 26 August after exchanging a bitter war of words.

To whet the appetite ahead of UFC 253, the long-awaited showdown between former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and ex-interim champion Colby Covington is set to go down on Saturday 19 September.

Covington is coming off a loss against Kamaru Usman for the welterweight championship, while Woodley is also looking to bounce back after defeats to Usman and Gilbert Burns.

Hard-hitting Brazilian Thiago Santos also returns in September after his narrow defeat to Jon Jones in July 2019, taking on Glover Teixeira – on Saturday 12 September – who has rebuilt his career after a number of high-profile defeats.

And if that’s not enough, heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Augusto Sakai meet on Saturday 5 September. Seasoned campaigner Overeem takes unbeaten prospect Sakai in an intriguing battle between two fighters at different stages of their careers.

Domestic and European rugby union takes centre stage on BT Sport in September.

In a ground-breaking agreement between Premiership Rugby and BT Sport, subscribers can watch every single match from the remainder of the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership season live – with 24 games coming up in September.

Every single match will be available to live stream via the BT Sport app and BTSport.com, or watch on TV – with some matches shown on the Extra channels.

Exeter are in imperious form after picking up where they left off before the break and are intent on securing a first Premiership title since 2017. Can the Chiefs continue their march towards glory? Or will one of the chasing pack usurp the favourites at the top of the table?  

And that’s not all! The Champions Cup returns in September with four mouth-watering quarter final matches – all exclusively live on BT Sport. In the pick of the games, defending champions Saracens meet Leinster in a repeat of last season’s final. Exeter also host Northampton in a must-watch all-English clash.

Bristol Bears, Dragons, Edinburgh, Scarlets and Leicester Tigers are all also in action in the Challenge Cup.

Big-time boxing continues in September with an unmissable fight night headlined by one of Britain’s brightest stars.

Unified world super lightweight champion Josh Taylor make his return to the ring for a mandatory defence of his IBF title against the unbeaten Thai Apinun Khongsong on Saturday 26 September.

The Tartan Tornado makes his first appearance since his triumph in the World Boxing Super Series in London, where he defeated the previously unbeaten Regis Prograis in a fight of the year contender.

“We have successfully played our part in bringing boxing back for the fans on TV and I said all along that we would be upping the levels as we go along and that is what we are doing here. I am thrilled we have secured Josh to perform on the BT Sport platform,” said promoter Frank Warren.

Legendary promoter Bob Arum added: “Taylor is on a collision course to a fight for the undisputed title, but he must first get past a very tough Thai fighter in Khongsong.

“We are delighted that Josh’s talents will be shown live to BT Sport viewers, and I expect a spectacular performance.”

With further shows set to be announced for September featuring some of the hottest prospects in British boxing, September promises to be yet another unmissable month for fight fans on BT Sport.

An astonishing MotoGP season is set for even more twists and turns in September, with three more races live and exclusive on BT Sport.

Injury to Marc Marquez has blown the championship wide open and we’re witnessing some of the most fiercely-contested racing in years.
