Ever thought of hooking up your Xbox One to a projector for an eye-wateringly large experience? Samsung’s latest announcement out of IFA in Berlin is The Premiere, a pretty mad looking short-throw projector with frickin lasers.
The Premiere LSP9T is the world’s first HDR10+ certified projector with triple laser technology and delivers revolutionary contrast details as the user watches from bright to dark scenes with a peak brightness of up to 2,800 ANSI lumens. The Premiere also supports Filmmaker Mode for the first of its kind as a projector allowing users to enjoy watching movies as director intended.
The Premiere comes in two forms, one with a 120-inch projection and one with a whopping 130-inches. A projector isn’t necessarily the greatest idea for gaming, but it’s certainly possible, though for home entertainment and UHD movies it’s certainly an eye-opener.
It’s not just video getting special treatment either, Samsung has ensured The Premiere delivers a strong audio experience, too.
The Premiere has powerful built-in woofers and Acoustic Beam surround sound, providing one of the best cinema experiences of projectors on the market today and reduces the need for additional sound equipment in tighter spaces.
For smaller spaces in particular The Premiere looks like a pretty solid addition to home entertainment bliss. It’s slated to begin rolling out across the U.S., Europe and Korea later this year, and at this time there is no pricing information, either. Still, it’s a pretty remarkable looking thing and if you’ll excuse me I’m going to begin making my case to buy one.
The full reveal will take place during Samsung’s “Life Unstoppable” IFA press conference which can be viewed here.
