MARSHALL — A second person has died after a house explosion near Marshall last week.

The Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall said Nancy Schipansky, 71, died today at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Schipansky was seriously injured in the Thursday morning blast that destroyed a home about 2 miles outside of town. She was transported to the hospital, and her husband Gail Schipansky was declared dead at the scene of the explosion.

An official cause of the explosion hasn’t been determined yet. The incident is currently under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
