While the country continues to battle from a pandemic, women continue to fight with rape issue in the country. A horrific incident took place in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta, wherein a 20-year-old COVID positive girl was raped in the ambulance.

The girl was being taken to a COVID facility in an ambulance when the driver raped her. The girl registered a complaint against the driver on reaching the COVID facility. Kerala’s state women’s right commission has registered a suo moto case and asked the SP to file a detailed report in the next 7 days. The accused has been arrested based on the woman’s complaint.

In a separate incident, a minor girl has been raped in Bihar.
