Eminem
The man who broke into Eminem’s house earlier this year allegedly told the rapper he was there to “kill him.”
Matthew David Hughes stands accused of using a paving stone to smash a kitchen window and gain access to the hitmaker’s Detroit, Michigan property in April, setting off an alarm in the middle of the night.
According to testimony shared by Clinton Township police officer Adam Hackstock, Eminem – real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III – originally thought the intruder was his nephew, before he realized it wasn’t.
During the preliminary examination, Hackstock claimed that “when Mr. Mathers asked (the intruder) why he was there, he was told by Mr. Hughes that he was there to kill him.”
However, Hughes’ attorney Richard Glanda told Fox News that his client denies saying that, and added: “I’m not sure where (the officer’s statement) came from… There was no physical contact between the two in the house.”
Hughes has been in custody since the break-in, after which he was charged with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of property. He is being held on $50,000 cash bond, and Judge Jacob Femminineo, Jr. denied a request to lower the bail, stating that Eminem’s fame was not a factor in his decision.
The case will now head to an arraignment on Sept. 28, after the judge found probable cause to continue with a trial.
Eminem wasn’t present in court on Wednesday, but his attorney watched the proceedings via video link.

Alec Baldwin has become a father for the sixth time.
The Departed star’s wife, Hilaria, gave birth to a son on Tuesday, and the latest addition to the couple’s family made his debut on mom’s Instagram page on Wednesday.
Alongside a photo of the yoga guru cradling the tot with Alec at her bedside in the hospital, she wrote: “We had a baby last night. He is perfect and we couldn’t be happier. Stay tuned for a name.”
The happy news comes after Hilaria suffered two miscarriages in 2019, as she and Alec tried to expand their brood.
The newborn joins the couple’s three other sons – Romeo, two, Leonardo, three, and five-year-old Rafael – as well as seven-year-old daughter Carmen.
Alec is also dad to model Ireland Baldwin, his 24-year-old daughter from his marriage to actress Kim Basinger.

Denise Richards
Denise Richards has exited reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after two seasons amid an ongoing drama about her sexuality.
A representative for the former Bond girl has confirmed Richards won’t be back for season 11 of the show after spending much of this year fighting off rumours of a same sex tryst with fellow Housewives star Brandi Glanville, who claimed the couple hooked up during a night out in Santa Barbara, California, in April 2019.
Her departure, announced on her and husband Aaron Phypers’ second wedding anniversary, will leave fans questioning Garcelle Beauvais’ return to the show – the actress previously claimed she would only return for season 11 if the Wild Things star came back.
Garcelle was just named the new co-host of U.S. daytime talk show The Real.

Kanye West
Kanye West’s recent Twitter outbursts have left him seeking medical attention because of “too much texting.”
The Gold Digger rapper, 43, who is currently in the midst of an unconventional presidential campaign, tweeted from the hospital Tuesday, where he was receiving injections of “cortisone mixed with a … sprinkle of lidocaine.”
“Too much texting bro,” he prefaced the rundown of his treatment with, before adding, “Lidocaine worked instantly.”
In a follow-up, which contained a video of the doctor injecting him, he penned: “The dexamethasone takes 24 to 48 hours… Modern medicine.”
The star’s social media updates have given cause for concern in recent months, with the hitmaker claiming his wife Kim Kardashian tried to have him “locked up” for treatment after his speech at his first presidential rally in South Carolina, where he spoke about almost aborting his first daughter North.
Kanye also compared his life to horror movie Get Out, and alleged he had been trying to divorce the reality TV beauty for the past two years, before later returning to the microblogging site and declared there was nothing wrong with him, blaming his critics for attempting to derail his White House bid with distraction tactics.
The rapper later apologized to his wife, who put the whole ordeal down to her husband’s latest bipolar episode.

Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco fired back after being criticized for wearing a face mask while working out.
The actress took to Instagram to share a new video of herself breaking a sweat in a bid to encourage fans to get active. Below the post, she gushed of her new favorite workout: “Jump It Out. My newest obsession during COVID/quarantine!
“All you need is 20 mins, a jump rope, and good music,” she added – but fans were less concerned with her exercise regime and more preoccupied with scrutinizing the star’s safety precautions.
“You’re wearing a mask because why?” one person wrote, while another added: “You don’t need a mask when you workout.”
A third fan wrote: “Don’t use mask to exercise. CO2. Nice going.”
However, The Wedding Ringer actress decided to clap back at the mask shamers, insisting: “For everyone and their mask comments. I wear a mask when I’m in an enclosed space around others, which I was

Sacha Baron Cohen
Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly finished filming Borat 2.
According to editors at Collider, the comedian has also screened the upcoming sequel for a select group of industry figures, ahead of a potential release later this year.
The British comedian’s 2006 film, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, saw the character traveling to the U.S. for the first time to make a documentary on the country. For the sequel, Borat will reportedly go “undercover” after being made aware of the notoriety he generated as a result of the original movie, with one source describing the film as “Cohen playing Borat playing Cohen.”
While another source has confirmed the project’s existence to Collider, they rejected the description of the film’s plotline.
Details of who is footing the bill for the sequel are currently unclear, but the publication suggested a streaming service may be attached.
The report comes after Cohen was captured on video footage posted on social media last month driving a yellow pickup while sporting the character’s distinctive thick mustache and a tan suit in Long Beach, Los Angeles.
And in July, he also crashed a far-right event in Washington, disguised as a racist bluegrass singer.
The prankster infiltrated the March for Our Rights 3 rally on June 27 and encouraged those taking part to sing about injecting scientists and political figures with coronavirus.
“Dr. Fauci, what we gonna do? / Inject him with the Wuhan flu… / Hillary Clinton, what we gonna do? / Lock her up like we used to do,” he sang, according to various reports.
Cohen last reprised the Kazakh TV personality for a sketch on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last November, which focused on “election tampering.”

Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer has been handed another health woe after struggling with severe morning sickness throughout her pregnancy – she’s battling Lyme disease.
The Trainwreck star opened up about the tick-borne illness on Instagram on Tuesday, telling followers she has “maybe had it for years.”
She then asked for advice from other sufferers, asking: “Anyone get LYME this summer? I got it and I’m on doxycycline… I also want to say that I feel good and I’m excited to get rid of it.”
She then asked if she can still drink wine while taking the antibiotic, revealing she has been told “to stay out of the sun”.
Amy is also taking a herbal treatment to beat Lyme Disease.
She joins a string of stars battling the condition – Justin Bieber opened up about his diagnosis earlier this year and, last month, model Bella Hadid took to her Instagram Stories to reveal she is plagued by Lyme disease symptoms every day and confessed feeling bad has become her new norm.
The catwalk star shared a graphic about the condition from author Joudie Kalla, which featured a list of symptoms, including headaches, insomnia, anxiety, and joint pain and explained she has been dealing with many of these daily.
“Every day I feel at least 10 of these attributes without fail… since I was probably 14, but more aggressively when I turned 18,” the 23-year-old wrote. Bella’s brother Anwar Hadid and their mother, Yolanda, have also battled the chronic disease for several years, as have singer Avril Lavigne, Alec Baldwin, Shania Twain, Kelly Osbourne, and Ben Stiller.

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran’s first demo album has sold at auction for $65,000.
The new dad was just 13 when he recorded the Spinning Man tracks and made 20 copies – 19 of which he still owns.
But one tape got out and it became a hot auction item this week after it was found locked away in a drawer.
A spokesman for Omega Auctions says, “It’s an incredible price! We expected it to sell well but that certainly exceeded our expectations. It was a fierce battle between four or five very serious bidders.”
In his book, Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey, the Perfect singer revealed he wrote the Spinning Man tracks after his first love broke his heart.
The demo sale news comes a week after it was announced Ed and his wife Cherry had become parents to daughter Lyra Antarctica.

Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres will return to her studio home and address her namesake show’s summer drama on Sept. 21.
The comedian issued an apology to staff on The Ellen DeGeneres Show after former and current employees went public with claims of harassment and misconduct behind the scenes.
Some whistleblowers told BuzzFeed there was a “toxic culture” on the show and they accused Ellen of turning a blind eye to alleged abuses.
The expose prompted a major WarnerMedia investigation, following which three senior producers were fired.
Now, DeGeneres has confirmed she’ll be back in the studio for Season 18 of the show next month, and she will address the claims against herself and the producers during the first episode.
“I can’t wait to get back to work and back to our studio. And, yes, we’re gonna talk about it,” DeGeneres says.
She and her crew left the studio in March as the coronavirus crisis began. She subsequently hosted a series of shows virtually from her home.
The season premiere will feature an in-studio interview with Tiffany Haddish, who last week revealed she had tested positive for COVID-19.
Kerry Washington, Alec Baldwin, and Chrissy Teigen are also lined up to appear on shows during Ellen’s first week back.
