WARREN — Robert Bayus, 68, of Warren, passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, at 8:06 p.m. in Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown.
He was born Thursday, Oct. 11, 1951, in Warren, the son of the late Andrew and Betty Summerlin Bayus and was a lifelong area resident
Robert was a mason contractor and worked as a bricklayer at E.B. Masonry. He loved watching football and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR and most importantly he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, daughters, Brandi Bayus of Champion and Brenda (Robert) Grabill of Champion; son, Robert (Heather) Bayus of Cortland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and by his life companion of 31 years, Debbie Stefan; as well as brothers, Michael, Roger and Donald Bayus.
Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by siblings, Judy Delancey, Dottie Almburg, Ruth Pinter, Carol Woodstock and David, Walter, John and Mark Bayus.
Family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, from 10 until 10:50 a.m., at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. A parlor service will take place Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion.
Those attending the calling hours and funeral service are kindly asked to adhere to the social distancing rule applied by the state and the use of facial coverings and masks are required when in the funeral home.
