The Southern Tier Athletic Conference (STAC) announced in a press release Sunday that it has postponed all fall sports play.

The postponement is in agreement with NYSPHSAA guidelines that condense fall, winter and spring seasons beginning January 4, 2021. 

The conference cites student health and safety concerns in its decision process. The conference says that they hope to restart all athletic seasons January 4, end as scheduled, and include state and section level competitions. 

The statement said in part, “While a difficult decision, resumption of all student activities including athletics is our hope with focus on reopening schools as our immediate focus.”
