Panchkula: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar will formally inaugurate adventure sports in Morni on September 27, World Tourism Day. The chief minister had taken trials of sports at Tikkar Taal in Morni in June this year.
At the time, he announced that the ‘Flying Milkha Singh Club’ for training youth in adventure sports would be set up at Morni Hills, Panchkula. He will inaugurate several adventure sports, water sports and tourism activities at Tikkar Taal.
The CM said that the club, a tribute to late athlete Milkha Singh, would provide professional training to youths wishing to pursue a career in adventure sports.
The CM will inaugurate various adventure activities including paragliding, parasailing, paramotor gliding and water sports. Water jet scooter trials will also be introduced at Tikkar Taal.
The formal inauguration will be conducted in the presence of Vidhan Sabha speaker Gian Chand Gupta, tourism minister Kanwar Pal, Haryana sports minister Sandeep Singh, local MP and minister of state for jal shakti Rattan Lal Kataria.
