The four-hour expo started around 9 a.m. at the Harker Heights Recreation Center.

Groups of children gathered around the mobile planetarium to catch one of the four shows, along with families and community members walking around to participate in the raffle, collect different seasonal flower seeds and gardening material from different groups, take home their very own pinhole projector — to see April’s total solar eclipse, and much more.

The event gave people from all ages things to do.

“It is very fun so far, we just got here but definitely can’t wait to watch the planetarium.” mentioned Mary Jameson, mom of 10-year-old Edward, on the occasion.

Vendors on the occasion offered snacks, video games, toys, academic books and pamphlets to onlookers excited to be taught.
