Deepfake AI challenge LIVE: Can’t have a standalone regulation on one side of synthetic intelligence, says Manish Tewari

– Congress MP Manish Tewari mentioned, “As far as deep fakes are concerned, you can’t have a standalone law on one aspect of artificial intelligence.”

-“Deep fakes are not new. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there was a deep fake video impersonating my voice, which was circulated one day prior to polling..” he added.

– “The problem of deep fakes has persisted for a while. So, therefore, there is a need for a very serious and sustained discussion,” he mentioned.
