DNA check has established the identification of Sri Lankan gangster Angoda Lokka who died in Coimbatore, Indian media reported.
Maddumage Chandana Lasantha Perera alias Angoda Lokka (35) died of cardiac arrest when he staying in Balaji Nagar on 3 July 2020 and postmortem was performed on the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital.
Angoda Lokka’s feminine aide Amani Dhanji (27) and lawyer Sivakami Sundari cremated the physique in Madurai. Later, it got here to mild that Angoda Lokka had hid his identification following which police arrested Amani Dhanji, Sivakami Sundari and Dhyaneswaran for forging paperwork and hiding the identification of Angoda Lokka. The case was transferred to India’s Crime Branch, Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID). As there was doubts over Angoda Lokka’s identification, CB-CID, with the assistance of Sri Lankan authorities, collected samples from his mom and despatched them to a lab in Chennai.
On Tuesday, CB-CID received five-day custody of Angoda Lokka’s shut associates. Chief Judicial Magistrate Court granted custody of C. Chanuka Thananayaka (38) of Athurugiriya in Sri Lanka, and T. Gopalakrishnan (46) alias Jayapal, the shut aides of Angoda Lokka, who had been arrested in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Sources stated police needed to query the 2 to know if Angoda Lokka had indulged in felony actions throughout his keep in Coimbatore.
