CHENNAI, Sept 25 (Reuters) – Apple provider Pegatron briefly halted iPhone meeting at its facility in south India on Monday after a hearth incident on Sunday evening, three sources informed Reuters.
The Taiwanese agency has known as off all shifts for the day on the manufacturing unit close to the town of Chennai in Tamil Nadu state, and is but to tell meeting staff whether or not the ability will operate on Tuesday, two of the sources added.
Pegatron (4938.TW) in a press release informed Reuters that “there was a spark incident” on the facility that’s at the moment below management, and the incident “does not have significant financial or operational impact” for the corporate.
Apple (AAPL.O) didn’t reply to a request for remark.
An area official with the emergency responses division stated a number of fireplace engines from varied stations needed to be introduced in to douse the hearth, taking almost 5 hours.
“There are no injuries, no casualties nor damage to other assets. The cause of accident is currently under investigations by (the) relevant authority,” Pegatron stated.
