Merchant has claimed that despite recovering only about six grams of charas from him, the NCB remand application against him and Aryan Khan has mentioned recovery of larger quantity of drugs in the case.
He has also claimed that the NCB’s allegation that their intention was to board the ship was completely false as they didn’t have the entry ticket to the ship.
The first three to be arrested, Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun were first detained by the NCB after the drug bust and then produced before the court in Mumbai on Sunday. Their bail request was considered by the court during a hearing but eventually, their custody was extended till Thursday as requested by the NCB and their counsel. The three youngsters have been charged under sections 8(c) read with sections 20b, 27, 28, 29 and 35 under the NDPS Act.
Meanwhile, there has been one more arrest in the case. NCB officials found the person in possession of hydroponic weed and this new accused will be produced in court, today.
