Shah Rukh Khan visited Aryan Khan in jail on Thursday morning and the superstar was spotted for the first time in public, ever since his son was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 3. SRK was allowed to meet his son as COVID-19 protocols for were lifted for in-person meetings in jail. According to India Today, Shah Rukh Khan got close to 18 minutes with Aryan and they interacted through an intercom in the presence of jail authorities. Aryan Khan was visibly emotional during the meeting, the report stated.

Bombay High Court is scheduled to hear Aryan Khan’s bail plea on October 26. Aryan’s lawyers Satish Maneshinde requested for a hearing on Friday or Monday but ASG Anil Singh for NCB stated that they had not been served the copy yet. Furthermore, Court refused Maneshinde’s request for hearing via video conferencing and Aryan’s bail plea matter was listed for hearing on Tuesday.

On October 20, a special NDPS court rejected Aryan Khan’s bail plea and the star son’s legal team was quick to move HC against the order. Currently, Aryan is lodged at the Arthur Road Jail with several other accused from the drugs-on-cruise case. Reacting to Aryan’s bail application, zonal director of NCB’s Mumbai unit, Sameer Wankhede had stated, ‘Satyamev Jayate’.

After being arrested on October 3, Aryan Khan has been in lodged at the Arthur Road Jail for over two weeks. On October 11, Shah Rukh Khan had sent Rs 4,500 through money order to the prison for his son’s canteen expenses. Last week, Aryan Khan had got an opportunity to speak to Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan for the first time in 12 days. He was allowed a video call with his parents, a facility that was introduced by jail authorities during the pandemic last year for inmates to communicate with their families and lawyers. “Aryan gave his mother’s number. He spoke to his mother and father through the video call facility for 10 minutes,” a senior jail official confirmed to TOI.
