HOUSTON: At least eight people died and several others were injured in a crowd surge at the Astroworld Music Festival at NRG Park here in Texas on the opening night Friday, officials confirmed.
Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pena told reporters the compression of the crowd toward the stage occurred while Travis Scott was performing around 9 pm Friday. The show was called off shortly after several people began suffering injuries.
