The story: British-Pakistani schoolgirl Ria Khan (Priya Kansara) is determined to rescue older sister Lena (Ritu Arya) from impending marriage, in order that Lena, an artwork faculty dropout, can fulfil her artistic potential. Moreover, she suspects rich groom Salim Shah (Akshay Khanna) is as much as no good.

Polite Society, her first characteristic as writer-director, packs the identical defiant feminist laughs after which some.

Ria, 16, is an aspiring stuntwoman. “I am the fury!” is her battle cry as she chop-socks towards gender norms, cultural expectations and tsk-tsking aunties in enlisting her besties (Seraphina Beh and Ella Bruccoleri) to sabotage the nuptials.
