Austin Ray Barnhart (Auni) age 26, of Lamar, passed away Monday Aug. 17, 2020 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Austin was born in the Williamsport Hospital on Feb. 9, 1994 to Holly (Jeff Hoffman) and Brian Barnhart (Jami Barnhart). Austin was 2012 graduate of Central Mountain High School and graduated from CPI Technologies for HVAC in 2020. He was an active member of the Army National Guard serving from September 2018 until present.
Austin was admired by so many. He was such a great son and friend to everyone. He was an avid hunter, liked to fish and just loved the outdoors altogether. Austin was employed for Joseph C. Hazel. Inc., HVAC.
He joined the Army National Guard in September of 2018. Austin has had many accomplishments in his life. He loved to play baseball as well.
Austin was a YHEC member from 2007-2012 placing 21st nationally in New Mexico in 2011, excelling in all shooting sports in which he continued until the time of his passing. There are too many things to say about Austin and how he enjoyed life. All who knew Austin knows that he enjoyed life and being with friends and family, especially if he could spend that time with them hunting and fishing. He will be missed by all and we all lost an exceptional son and friend. God Bless him.
Austin is survived by his parents, Brian (Jamie Barnhart) and Holly Barnhart (Jeff Hoffman). Grandparents, Karen Shields of Avis, Lisa Peters and Kevin Peters of Beech Creek, Denny Barnhart and Maureen Barnhart of Flemington. A sister, Lauren Barnhart and a brother, Brian Barnhart and a stepbrother, David Berriri. Also surviving are his aunts, Robyn Campana, Jodi Sheasely and Amanda Barnhart and uncles, Derrick Shields, Josh Barnhart and Matt Sheasely and cousins, Faith and Cameron Sheasely.
Austin was predeceased by his grandfather, Larry Shields and great grandmother, Louis Barnhart.
A Celebration of life for Austin Ray Barnhart (Auni) will be held at a later date.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 20, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
