The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a case that shocked metro Atlanta — a newborn baby found inside a plastic bag deserted within the woods.

The sheriff’s workplace introduced that an arrest was made within the case involving child India. The new child child was deserted in June 2019 after a family called 911, claiming they have been listening to cries coming from the woods close by.

When police went to verify on the decision, they discovered the child tied up inside a plastic bag, her umbilical twine nonetheless intact. 

Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman mentioned the child was present in good situation when he last spoke with 11Alive in 2019.

“They discussed whether it was a wild animal — you don’t anticipate hearing a crying baby in the woods,” Freeman mentioned. “Thank God they went out and investigated that, and immediately called 911.”

Following India’s discovery, investigators mentioned they partnered with Augusta regulation enforcement to discover a suspect. After 4 years, deputies arrested a suspect Thursday morning.
