A five-student crew from the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology in Sathyamangalam bagged the primary place within the Smart India Hackathon 2023 held from December 19 to 23.

The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) organised the nationwide competitors to supply college students with a platform to unravel a few of the urgent issues dealing with people, thus inculcating a tradition of innovation and problem-solving. The drawback statements of {hardware} and software program classes got from a variety of themes and 1,300 groups from universities and faculties took half.

Five groups from the institute secured first positions, three within the software program class and two within the {hardware} class, and had been awarded a complete money prize of ₹ 4.50 lakh for his or her respective drawback statements. In the software program class, groups AI Evangelist and “House Stark Winterfell” gained prizes for the issue assertion, “Ear Electronic Device for Tinnitus Frequency Finding and Adjusting to Provide Relief to Tinnitus Suffering Patient,” and “Get Fit Faster with a High-Tech Tracker: Analyze Human Activity and GPS Data for Improved Results” respectively.

In the {hardware} class, groups, “Spartans” gained a prize for, “Water Harvesting Structures created/rejuvenated in the project areas under WDC 2.0”, crew “Tech Hoppers” gained a prize for, “One-stop solution for monitoring dairy plant energy consumption, hygiene and packaging waste collection from consumers”, and crew “Agastrix” gained a prize for the issue assertion “Sustainable Bio-Packaging.”
