The BBC apologized after pornographic noises have been heard on air throughout the broadcaster’s stay protection of an FA Cup match. The incident occurred when noises interrupted the protection offered by former England striker Gary Lineker earlier than the match between Wolverhampton and Liverpool at Molineux Stadium.
The noises have been apparently performed through a cell phone {that a} prankster had hidden within the studio. Gary Lineker posted an image of a cellular phone on Twitter following the incident saying that it was “taped to the again of the set” contained in the stadium.
“As sabotage goes it was quite amusing,” Gary Lineker joked on Twitter.
“We apologize to any viewers offended during the live coverage of the football this evening,” the BBC said in a statement. A YouTube prankster, who calls himself “Jarvo,” tweeted that he was behind the incident whereas posted a video displaying him calling the cellphone to activate the sounds.
Jarvo was banned in October from all sporting occasions in England and Wales for 2 years after operating onto the pitch throughout a cricket check match between England and India in September 2021, Associated Press reported.
