CLEARFIELD–Max Blair of Centerville picked up the O’Reilly Auto Parts ULMS Late Model Feature win Saturday night at Hidden Valley Speedway on O’Reilly Auto Parts night.

New winners included Steve Lewis of Ransomville, New York, in the Hugill’s Sanitation Small Block Modifieds, Rob Williams of Williamsport in the Little’s Drive In Auto Sales/Jess Mayhew Four Cylinders, and Dave Guss of Centre Hall in the visiting Laurel Highlands 305 Sprints.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts ULMS Late Models saw heat winners Wyatt Scott and Max Blair on the front row with a multi-car spin in turns three and four creating a complete restart. The restart saw Blair beat Wyatt Scott off the line and his dad,Wyatt, followed Blair and moved into second.

David Scott was third. Mike Pegher and Logan Roberson battled for fourth the entire race while the leaders were having their battle. John Wayne Weaver was the biggest mover of the race, starting 17th and finishing 10th. When the checkered flags waved it was Blair winning his second career Hidden Valley Speedway feature over Wyatt Scott, David Scott, Roberson and Pegher. Heat winners went to Blair, Wyatt Scott and David Scott. Blair was also the fast timer.

The Laurel Highland 305 Sprints made their first, and only, visit of the season, as Dave Guss and Jeff Weaver brought the field to the green flag, with Guss taking the lead. A series of cautions for minor spins came to a halt with a red when Ryan Lynn and Roger Irvine tangled with Lynn taking a series of flips down the front stretch. Hyde Fire Co. and Rescue Hose and Ladder EMS rushed to the crash and Lynn was uninjured. He was out of the event, as was Irvine.

On the restart the race saw one more yellow on lap 6 for a spinning Reed Thompson. He rejoined the field as Guss went on to hold off Weaver the rest of the way to get his first HVS win. Weaver held on to second over John Walp, Randy Sterling and Scott Lutz. Heat wins went to Sterling and Thompson.

The Hugill’s Sanitation Small Block Modifieds were led to the green flag by Steve Lewis and Trent Ogden, with Lewis taking the lead and Josh Deems moving to second. Like the Late Models and Sprints before them, a rash of cautions at the beginning of the race slowed things, with Lewis finally able to comfortably take the lead. Deems was reeling in the newcomer, but he ran out of time as the checkered flag waved. Deems held on to second with Kyle Fink, Josh Henry and Ogden completing the top five. Heat wins went to Todd English and Ogden.

Kolton Wagner was able to beat Rob Williams off the line to start the Little’s Drive In Auto Sales/Jess Mayhew Four Cylinder feature. Wagner led the opening five laps, before Williams battled back and took the lead on lap six, but Wagner was not about to give up, as he and Willams ran door-to-door most of the feature, with Williams leading at the line every lap, but when the checkered flag flew, it was Williams beating Wagner by a few feet for his first win of the season. Wagner was second with Darrin Thompson, Wayne Newberry and William Kephart completing the top five. Heat wins went to Williams, Wagner and Newberry.
