The St. John’s Board of Trade is urging both sides in the dispute between St. John’s Sports and Entertainment and the owners of the Newfoundland Growers to find a way forward and allow the team to play the Mary Brown’s Centre while a workplace investigation is carried out.
The Board of Trade says all employees have a right to a safe and respectful workplace and an investigation should be conducted as thoroughly and efficiently as possible. However, they would like both parties to explore all opportunities to resume business operations during the investigation to minimize immediate and future economic harm to the business community and city taxpayers.
